First mentioned in the Bible
After declaring the good news to that city and making quite a few disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch.— Acts 14:21
Background
Derbe was a city in the Lycaonian region of Asia Minor. After being stoned at Lystra, Paul came to Derbe and preached the gospel, making many disciples. Paul's co-worker Timothy may have been from Lystra or Derbe. Paul passed through Derbe again on his second journey to strengthen the disciples.
