Michmash

Michmash · Mukhmas, Palestine
Where Jonathan climbed the cliff alone to attack the Philistine garrison—a battle of faith.
First mentioned in the Bible
“Jonathan said to his armor-bearer: ‘Come, let us cross over to the garrison of these uncircumcised men. Perhaps Jehovah will act in our behalf, for nothing can hinder Jehovah from saving by many or by few.’”— 1 Samuel 14:6
Background
Michmash was a strategic location during Saul's reign. Jonathan, trusting in Jehovah, climbed the cliff with just his armor-bearer to attack the Philistine outpost, saying 'Nothing can hinder Jehovah from saving by many or by few.' This caused panic throughout the camp and Israel won a great victory (1 Samuel 14).
