Sychar
Where Jesus spoke with the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well.
First mentioned in the Bible
Whoever drinks from the water that I will give him will never get thirsty at all, but the water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water bubbling up to impart everlasting life.— John 4:14
Background
Sychar was a small town near Jacob's well. Jesus met a Samaritan woman drawing water and revealed the truth about living water — whoever drinks the water I give will never thirst. The woman believed, and the whole town came to see Jesus.
