Where Jesus performed his first miracle — turning water into wine.
First mentioned in the Bible
Jesus did this in Caʹna of Galʹi·lee as the beginning of his signs, and he made his glory manifest, and his disciples put their faith in him.— John 2:11
Background
Cana of Galilee marks the beginning of Jesus' public ministry. At a wedding when wine ran out, Jesus had servants fill six stone jars with water. When drawn out, it had become the finest wine. This was Jesus' first sign, manifesting his glory, and his disciples believed.
