Where Peter confessed Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God, and Jesus declared He would build his congregation.
First mentioned in the Bible

Background
Caesarea Philippi lies at the foot of Mount Hermon beside the Banias spring, a source of the Jordan River. The tetrarch Philip named it in honor of Caesar. Jesus asked His disciples 'Who do you say I am?' Peter answered 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' Jesus declared 'On this rock I will build my congregation.' This is the most significant confession in Peter's life.
